What is Lymphatic Enhancement Technology – LET

The brand name of Lymphstar Enhancement  Technology, (LET)™ was created in 2006 by Arcturus Star Products and is a  registered brand of the Company. The term represents a comprehensive  technological innovation in wellness and rehabilitation therapy. The  company began development of products utilizing vibrational energy  technology in the early 1990s. They have pioneered this breakthrough  technology from the complimentary and holistic professions to physical  therapy and rehabilitation and, now, into lymphedema clinics in  hospitals and private practice as well is in integrative medical, pain  and plastic surgery practices. LET therapy is offered across the US,  Canada and worldwide.

Lymphstar Enhancement Technology- LET™,  represents the proprietary products, training seminars, and related  research and academic studies of Arcturus Star Co. These are the  proprietary achievements of Arcturus Star Company exclusively. The  branding that represents it and are not to be adopted by other purveyors  of ‘lymphatic drainage’ devices and/or hands-on therapies for skin and  body. (massage techniques)

What is LET?

LET is a system of electronic  instrumentation that aids in improving microcirculation, general  circulation, helps with fluid management at the tissue level. It  supports or can replace manual lymphatic methods.
LET Units offer  several layers of electromagnetic energies that can assist with the  release of interstitial toxins thus, helping with pain and acceleration  of local healing. Also, a deeper view of the lymphatic system considers  that the components of this body system also comprise the immune system.  Thus, LET may assist the immune functions.

People are taught the care of the cardiovascular system, but  generally, not the lymphatic system or the immune system overall. LET  fills a gap in the integrative communities for substantial treatments  that assist with detoxification at a deep cellular level and work  locally and within and to aid the immune functions.

Massage professionals and estheticians are drawn to LET because they  are taught methods of manual lymph drainage, such as the Vodder method.

Occupational and Physical therapists help sufferers of post cancer  edema, post surgeries and injuries and find LET an exceptional addition  to their practices.

LET may be used with or without hands-on techniques. Manual  techniques are applied as needed for palpation of tissue to assess  congestion, increasing flow, and enhancing fluid release if these  techniques fall within the therapist’s scope of practice. Physical  therapists, occupational therapists, massage therapists and registered  nurses may apply manual therapies in conjunction with the application of  LET instruments. Certified, trained lymphatic therapists may also apply  some palpation and light skin – touch release techniques in conjunction  with LET Instruments.

Technical:

The LET Instruments from Arcturus Star Incorporate a Mild  Electrostatic Energy Field (EEF) with Low Frequencies that are  Dynamically – Pulsed with our Proprietary Method.
EEF is  electro-static field that pulsates at microamperes (millionths of an  ampere) at less than 1,000 Hz. The EF Field is generated through medical  grade glass applicators with the enclosed noble gases being excited by  high voltage at the source and converted to DC (direct current). (Argon,  Xenon, Krypton)
Creates physical vibrations with acoustic pressure waves at variable low frequencies.
The oscillations are modulated by a proprietary design call Sweep Pulse/ Dynamic Wave Pulse (SP/DWP.)
This  wave pulse creates vibratory energy at the molecular level. This  enables a release of toxins, excess ions, proteins etc. within the  interstitial space.

The US  FDA registration categories are extremely limited at this time.  Companies must determine into which of the categories their device fits.

What LET is Not

A form of massage therapy or bodywork or an esthetics modality alone. LET may effectively be applied with or without hands-on techniques.
LET  should not be defined as ‘lymphatic drainage’ nor limited in its  professional scope of practice to the massage professions or others  performing manual lymphatic therapy.
‘Lymphatic Therapy’ is not a  standardized term and can refer to multiple types of treatments and  treatment modalities around the world.
The term electro-lymphatic  drainage is a generic term that is not proprietary to any specific  product or company. LET is not “electro-lymphatic drainage or ELT.” This  term emphasizes the use of gross electrical fields, rather than the  subtle, EEF, sonic and acoustic waves and harmonics – rich energy fields  of LET instruments. It is not a  standard electro-modality such as microcurrent, TENS transcutaneous  neuro-muscular stimulation and electro-muscle stimulation through  electrodes and electrified gloves.
LET is NOT ultrasound.
LET is  not a Rife Machine or a PEMF Machine. Some of the PHIT modalities,  options for the advanced LET models, may have energies like to those of  pulsed – electromagnetic field or magnetic field units. (PEMF) However,  these are described as such in the literature.

Contraindications

Not for use on persons with implanted medical devices.
Do not use in the presence of unexplained calf pain or over inflamed areas. (active blood clots with pain)
Do not use directly over any undiagnosed skin infections to avoid the spread of bacteria.
